What did people want Kakashi to train Sakura in Part 1?

I see this complaint a lot about Kakashi being a bad teacher because he "neglected Sakura and Naruto". What did people want him to do with Sakura in Part 1 when she had no interest in training? It seems like Sakura's interest in training only began when Sasuke left. Is there anything to suggest I am wrong?
