How dog-safe do you expect Amsterdam to be this New Years Eve?

This year will be my first NYE in Amsterdam. I read about the city organising a light show on the Museumplein which I'd love to attend, and there, they also mention that it's banned to light fireworks - at least, without a permit. So my question is: how many fireworks are still being deployed around this time? Is it safe to go out with a dog? (My dog is not extremely anxious, but of course dogs will be dogs, I don't want to stress him out too much)

Or if it's deemed too unsafe: what dog-friendly recommendations do you have for a NYE in the country? I unfortunately don't yet have friends here so a house party is not yet an option
