Can I take a car repo off my credit?

My financed car got repoed when I was younger and dumber. I paid the outstanding bills and got it back a few days later. Years later I still have the car and will have the loan completely paid off sometime later this year. Is it possible to remove the repossession from my credit before my payments are done?
