Your opinions about this show and your demographics.
Full disclosure, I would select the third option; I'm Jewish and I thought it was just OK. I thought there were funny parts that kind of stood alone. But I think the basic premise is so implausible - and so many parts of each episode are also implausible - it's hard to enjoy a show when you're yelling at the screen "that would never happen!" I probably won't watch the next season.
I read a lot of comments here from people who love this show and think the characters are realistic representations of flawed people who have nothing in common and yet fall in love. I don't. Not because a Jew and non-Jew can't fall in love (I'm married to a non-Jew) but because Rabbis who want to lead a congregation have standards for the kind of family life they pursue and would never be in this position. And because Joanna is written to be so self-involved, I can't imagine anyone having deep feelings about her. I think that the conflict needed for a successful RomCom has been pushed too far with this one, which is what makes it too implausible to enjoy.
Anyway, I find myself wondering about the demographics of people professing their love or dislike of this show, hence the poll. Thanks for humoring me!
