If you want to oppose the "White House Faith Office" executive order, here's a template

This is screamingly illegal, screamingly unconstitutional, and has too much potential to get UGLY. I couldn't just sit there and let them do it without saying *something*

I know calls work better. I know our senators are republicans. I know we are facing an overwhelming deluge of bullshit. But every call, letter, protest, vote, and voice matters, and writing is what I do best. So if you want a template to yell at a republican in a way they might even remotely feel, here you go.

Full disclosure: no I don't believe the intention behind this is noble, but I bet *they* do. And no, I don't think they actually care about what the law or our rights actually say. But they double won't if we don't even so much as attempt to hold them accountable, and that's what I'm holding onto.

Hi Senator NAME

I'm writing to you as one of your constituents to ask you to oppose the Establishment of the White House Faith Office. Constitutional Amendment 1--the thing the Founding Fathers found *most* important to protect--is the freedom of the press, speech, and religion. The establishment of this office would be a blow to every practicing religious person in the nation, no matter how noble the intent behind the EO. Something Anti-Catholic could very well be something Pro-Wiccan, Pro-Evangelical, or Pro-Jewish, and by rule of Amendment 1, none of these religions are more valid than others in the eyes of the law.

Which is the thing you swore to uphold when you took office.

So for the sake of the future of this country, do the right thing. Oppose this very clearly unconstitutional office. And while you're at it, oppose Elon Musk and DOGE too. Kabosu deserves better than to be the face of a coup, the hardworking people of the US deserve better than extralegal injustice at the hands of an unelected despot.

Our eyes are on you, Senator. I hope you feel the weight of every soul you've let down by remaining complicit.
