Heavy period every single day for 10 months
I've had my period every single day for 10 months. Not just a regular flow, heavy flow that makes me go through 6+ overnight pads every single day. My doctor put me on a few different medications to try and stop it but nothing has worked. I ended up at the hospital after so much blood loss. She finally referred me to a gynecologist and I was so excited to get some real diagnoses. But I walked in and he immediately said...you're fat...that's why you've been bleeding. His professional recommendation to me was to stop eating. Literally. When I'm hungry, I should just drink water instead. He said I should drink around 4 Liters of water a day and then after 3 months, my period will stop and I'll get pregnant...this was after I told him I don't want kids.
I'm just so frustrated. Why can't doctors ever properly help? Why do I have to wait until I go to the ER for them to take my symptoms seriously? I also eat well but no one ever believes me because they just see that I'm overweight...but it's not like I haven't been trying everything I can already.
