Cannot get past character creation screen

I received Red Dead Online as a gift via Steam, and tried to play last night. I went through the process of creating a new character. After getting my photo taken, I am presented with the options to do the intro or skip it. Neither option works; the game just sits on the Welcome screen. I tried to reboot my machine, and still no change. After four attempts I just turned off my PC. Anyone else have this issue?

PC Specs:Intel i9 990032 GB DDR4 3200GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 SuperROG Strix Z390-i

**EDIT** - I had to click & HOLD the Intro button to get it to work. Was not intuitive at all. I only realized it when my wife tried to play, and her finger lingered on the Enter key just long enough to see a progress bar start to form around the icon. (facepalm)
