What are our thoughts on pets picking up items?

Let me clarify before the post begins - I’m neither for nor against the thought.

I remember in diablo 3 (and I believe in 4) that pets would pick up gold and gold only. Would you guys be opposed to this?

I’d like to know the communities thoughts on the subject and potentially having special parameters. For example, pets like the “chaos orb” pet could pick up only chaos orbs that drop. Exalted orb pet picks up exalted orbs etc. Only non-currency pets would pick up gold.

Yay or nay? What are the pros and cons?
