So... Is there absolutely no way to switch off safe mode?

I have persona 5 royal on pc. Started playing a few days ago, now im at the start of mementos. I was playing at normal, but basically at where I am right now my pc restarted and I found out I haven't saved since like halfway through kamoshidas palace. I wanted to breeze through it to catch up with where I am currently so I switched to safety. Only when I got to mementos again did I find out that you can't switch off safety. To make it worse, I am one of the guys who hates having multiple saves for the same run so I overwritten it every time. I know that you can't switch through the game, but ill rven be fine with a third party bullshit to change it. Im home sick and got nothing to do but play this game and I want to have an actual experience, and I seriously don't want to replay everything. Such a dumb feature.
