This subs problem with being a butch and Vi's masculinity
I finally got to see a lesbian main character who dresses and acts the way that I do in a mainstream show and the constant response that I've seen here is "why can't the fandom depict her more as feminine" "why can't she wear dresses on fanarts"
You got all these femme lesbians in various medias and that one time I got something somehow she's not being presented to be feminine enough, it feels like a punch in the gut for those of us who finally felt like we're being represented.
I wish I get to see a character like Vi when I was younger, I spent my childhood constantly afraid that I wasn't behaving and dressing more feminine in public and that my hair is too short. Her confidence even as a child to dress and act the way she did was so nice to see. I'm glad today's younger generation can see someone like her be a main character on a mainstream show.
