My ELDEN RING add-on keeps on deleting itself.

my friend pre-ordered the dlc a long time ago and when the pre install was launchef I tried installing,when it was installed after a while it deleted itself,and then i redownloaded it again rinse and repeat,even after the dlc dropped I managed to get it to work somehow and played a few hours of it,then existed the game after trying to come back to it it deleted itself again,I dont know what's the issue.
