Extended warranty coverage

Just bought a 2023 GTS (yay!) with 11,500 miles and factory warranty through 2027, not CPO. I would have preferred CPO but the spec was perfect and hard to find. Plan is to get a Fidelity platinum warranty - I usually prefer peace of mind to risk. However, I do wonder just how much risk there is for major issues. In my estimation major is > $5,000, which is just a bit more than I expect to pay for the warranty depending on years/mileage and deductible. The general consensus on this and other discussion boards seems to be that having warranty coverage beyond the factory coverage is (very) desirable given the potential cost of repairs, but that seems to be driven to a great extent by the problems with the older Macans (pre-2020), especially the transfer case/oil leaks and timing chain issues, which don't appear prevalent in new models. I drive about 10,000 miles a year, so by 2027 when the factory warranty runs out the car will probably have 30,000 miles or so.
