How would you react if Emerald betrayed team RWBY and company for Cinder? Would it make more sense than switching sides?

I’ve seen a few people say that they don’t believe that Emerald has truly switched sides, that it makes more sense that she’s being a double agent. Personally, I find this quite unlikely because we saw her looking at the Atlas and Mantle refugees with regret. However, I’m gonna wait for the moment she meets Cinder again and see what she does about it.
