Is it over?

game is not fun anymore.

I played this for more than six years, I consider myself a casual player, my peek on console is high plat few years ago, I’m recently switched to PC and hard stuck in sliver gold lobbies.

Sure it’s unique and there’s a lot of depth to the game, but ranked system is messed up, it’s either players that are too below my level or ex champs/diamonds. For me maybe a third of the lobbies I’m in are playable. There is a big chance I run into a 15 yo white kid saying the n word in those games.

I took a break for 6 months and came back with the boys, maybe we had fun for a couple weeks and then it’s over. Other games like valorant and rivals maybe not as good in terms of gameplay, but there are fun to win or even lose. This game is not even rewarding when I win. For example, Valorant doesnt use any AI to block offensive message or a reputation system to punish the offenders, however the community there is much better and they try to have fun.

I think Siege is inherently flawed because of how the gameplay is so hardcore, people constantly have to sweat or feel the need to prove they are better by being toxic or throw the games just to not deal with their incompetence etc etc

This is also a good thing as it makes the competitive aspect much better when you find a good game (which is unlikely 70% of the time).

Ubisoft is fighting with invisible demons trying to fix the community. While they do a fairly good job with operator balancing and gameplay, they are absolutely terrible when I comes to things like ranked system, cosmetics, crossplay support, cheating , xim etc. marvel rivals games less than 6 months old has better competitive system than this 10 yo dead weight of a game. I hope ubisoft goes bankrupt, sell out to some other company(even tencent would do a better job). Or just take it offline and whoever acquires licenses make a newer version on a better game engine.

That’s just me, maybe my experience would be better if I spend hours sweating and rank up, maybe in getting too old for this game. But I don’t see the player count getting a better, how long before the existing sweats get tired.

Sorry if im being harsh or rude, this is just my opinion in the form of a rant.

But What does the community think? Will this game ever come back?
