It’s time we stopped using “autonomy” as an excuse to be completely nude in public.
I just watched the Grammys where Ye’s wife was wearing literally a 99.99% revealing dress, I honestly shouldn’t even call it that, more like a piece of extremely see through cloth to one of the biggest most internationally broadcasted shows in America and possibly the world.
She wasn’t wearing underwear, no bra, nothing covering her completely exposed privates to an event where young celebs and minors like blue ivy were there. Young people like my cousins watching their favorite entertainers.
Indecent exposure is real, it’s nasty, it’s perverted and it’s getting bad.
Your body your choice is not meant to be for this extreme misuse. I’m sorry but cry me a river.
Setting, underage people, and disturbing others peace (yes adults can be uncomfortable too) should be the first thing in your mind when prompted to wear something revealing. This is not taking any rights away, it’s about respecting the environment and the people around you.
This used to be a crime, it still is a crime, but now I’m seeing parades and rallies of people completely naked wiggling their pubic shlongs around minors in the public streets of NY.
A dude flashing someone used to be punishable by public scrutiny, and at the most violence intervention. Now we’ve got people flashing their titties at what was suppose to be a completely innocent live portal downtown NY - and getting it shut down.
People have become way too selfish under the guise of “individualism” and “autonomy”. Thinking it’s ok to possibly disturb others with your need to show off how “butt” your crack is, is highly unsettling and your values need a check up.
Now before you start with the hate replies, I’m not talking about places that prompt that nature. Private events, public but enclosed/limited areas, places where that behavior creates an environment of implied consent is fine. Social settings are where everyone is well versed, generally of age, and people aren’t there for one thing, and get disturbed by a perverted other.
Please understand, it’s ok to care about others. Yes “mind your business” is value everyone should have, but basic respect is also.
