Should you include your most recent work experience or older but relevant job experiences?

I am applying for a role, but none of my three most recent positions are directly related to it. However, I do have relevant experience from about 4-5 years ago. The challenge is that using those past jobs would create a significant gap between my recent work and the relevant experience which could possibly raise some eyebrows.

Basically, how do I tailor my resume to this role I am trying to apply for, do I work with the most recent occupations I had and tweak them accordingly or go back a couple years to tailor my resume with older jobs?
