Questions for any truly toxic players reading

Edit: Huge oversight on my part but these questions are directed at people who are toxic to their own team mates.

These are questions for those players who are toxic for no reason other than to be unpleasant to others. Not the ones who turn toxic when their team mate is trolling, not those who retaliate to the toxicity of someone else and not even those who have a team mate who has been playing the worst RL you've ever seen for 4 minutes and you finally snap.

No these are for the truly toxic players, the vile players, the instigators. You get the idea.

I've been playing RL since day one and I would class myself as a nice player. I encourage my team mates, I always say nice shot and great pass in the nice ways, sorry's and thank yous, what a save (for actual saves) and say no problem to any apologies from my team mates. I mostly ignore the toxicity around me but I do sometimes retaliate to others when they are toxic first and I have defended players who are being picked on who I don't think deserve it, but I'm never the instigator. This being said, the toxicity I see baffles me.

Can you explain the mindset? Are you like this to everyone you meet online or even face to face? Are you like this at your job? Do you even have a job? Are you bored and want to get a reaction? Have you had a bad day and seeing your team mate make a mistake just tips you over the edge? Is it narcissism or your ego? Does being abusive to someone else make you feel better about yourself? Do you precieve yourself as better than others? Does it anger you when other people aren't as good as you think they should be?

There's no judgement on my side for any answers and I'd ask anyone who reads this post and the potential answers to be respectful of people's comments.
