The Best Way to Rank Up: Be a Zookeeper

The best way to rank up is to treat your teammates like Zoo Animals.

Marvel at their plays. Map their tendencies. Observe their behavior. Be amused by their unique attributes and idiosyncrasies.

When they are eating, keep distance so as to not disturb them. As you watch on, allow yourself to be captivated in stunned amazement by their majestic beauty.

Be curious. Be careful. Be respectful.

These are marvelous creatures, still yet to be fully understood, with an indomitable spirit that yearns for the wild.

If agitated, remember they live in their own complex world, with countless reasons to feel upset. Even when their anger seems misplaced and unreasonable, practice empathy wherever and whenever you can.

With grace and humility, understand that we are all rather simple creatures sharing this blue rock we call Earth, all trying to do our best.

As a zookeeper, it is of upmost importance to know what is within the bounds of your control, and what is not.

Keep an active mind and an open heart. Seek out appreciation and gratitude. If you look for it, you will find good in abounding quantities. The diversity within our zoo is fascinating and beautiful, if you allow it to be.

Relinquish the self and find some levity in the midst of your enchantment - let out a chuckle or two at their funny, perhaps incorrigible habits. It's important to take things in stride, as you'll no doubt be caught off-guard by these creatures' antics from time to time.

Learn from some of the top zookeepers, like Steve Irwin (Lethamyr), Griffin Keyes (Squishy), and Joe Exotic (Flakes). Each of them offer in-depth video series documenting their academic pursuits in taming the wild beasts of the Ranked Jungle.
