Dining in night jacket etiquette

I am going to a dining in night soon. The jacket is a bit tight and I know after the meal it will be even tighter.

How do I find out the rules on etiquette and can I take my jacket off after dinner when we go back to the bar? I have heard others talk about taking their bow ties off etc
