Brake Upgrade Options

Hey guys, I’ve been working on a build sheet for my supercharged project S2000. Before we get into specifics, the goal for this car is that by next year I would like to start doing track days (road Atlanta, charlotte motor speedway, Sebring Int’l, etc) but I also frequent the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway.

I am looking to upgrade the brakes, as I know that the stock rotors are prone to cracking with higher heat. With the added power to the car, it will be coming down hard from higher speeds.

I’ve been eyeing the Girodisc front 2 piece rotors and Urge Flow rear rotors, but I’m not sold on staying with one piston brakes. If I go all out, it seems that the StopTech ST-40 is pretty much the standard with S2000’s, but I see that many people stick with the stock caliper with the Urge Flow rear rotor.

I’d like some insight if you would on what kind of limitations I’d be expecting out of each option, or other options I may not have considered. I am hesitant to spend $800+ on OEM replacement rotors if BBK is going to be the ultimate option down the road. Thanks!
