Has anyone found a cheap area around socal?
So I've been living in my vehicle for almost a year. I'm based in Arizona but I was out of state for work mostly in California the past couple months. The company that I've been working for off and on for projects, they've asked me to join them full-time a couple times but with me not having a actual place to call home makes it a little difficult because they make use of their company vehicles to run service calls.
I've been contemplating going back to something full-time at least for a little while and with most of the work being in California I would have to find somewhere in California to live, whether that be a roommate situation or a cheap yearly campground would be awesome. I don't need luxury or a bunch of amenities to live. I'm fine staying in my vehicle as long as I can find somewhere to park nightly that's safe.
The said job doesn't really pay enough for typical California cost of living at least for a single person trying to rent a place by themselves. A campground would be fine as long as it's not a thousand dollars a month. I like the company and the people, they've really helped me out when I needed work.
I know to some people living at a campground seems like a terrible way to live because those people are way too used to having a kitchen a shower and all that that comes with the regular house and they don't know how to live without it. Not necessarily placed in SoCal but either there or up by Sacramento. I've done a lot of camping across the state , I prefer NorCal much more but winter is a little less favorable.
