My first visit to Santiago, I’m coming from USA. Planning on exploring the city and skiing Valle Nevado. A few questions:

do I need to power adapter AND power converter for my US electronics?
I was thinking of using Skitotal for rental ski gear and shuttle up to the resort. Is that a good one? Other groups I should consider?
what is the tipping culture like Chile?
does Uber work down there? Best way to get from airport to hotel?
other than skiing at Valle Nevado, what else do I need to experience in Santiago? Museums, historical sites etc. are there any soccer matches in august? Or other pro sports? Restaurants? Food?
is it true drinking water from faucet is completely safe?
