scam call asking for her son?

i received two missing calls (i dont pick up numbers i don't recognize) from this phone number this morning, and on the second one they left a voice mail

it sounded like a lady, AI voice, asking how her son was doing; asking for a call back

it seems she was trying to play on sympathy/empathy, and I should note that the name she mentioned is not me, but my father, and also again the voice is an AI voice

"Hey (name), it's (name) I'm calling because I'm wondering how my son is doing? And you even, can you give me a call back if you can please I love you guys..."

my phone number has also been receiving multiple spam calls daily

Is this some sort of curiosity scam? or what is this?
