TLS France new OTP system working?
Has anyone had success getting an OTP to their mobile while submitting an application for a French Schengen visa from the UK through TLS contact?
From their website: "As a new website security measure, starting 16 May 2023 all applicants will have to verify their phone number in the application form with a one-time password (OTP) received by text message."
While filling in the application it insists the mobile number should be of the form '4407xxx' and only 12 digits, however to not exceed 12 digits I had to remove the zero (i.e.: '447xxx'). I am now not receiving the OTP, cannot edit the number, and can only request the OTP twice. The call centre representative said the format doesn't matter (despite many warnings on the website to the contrary) and that there were IT issues and a request has been submitted - "it will be fixed when they have fixed it".
I don't really want to request another OTP until I know it is sorted as this is already my second time submitting an application (first one had to be deleted after I was charged for an appointment that was not allocated to me), so any stories of success will be appreciated.
Edit:
8 months later, this still seems to be a problem for a lot of people. My problem was solved by using Firefox when requesting the OTP, which seems to be the case for others in the comments as well. Chrome does not work.
Judging by the comments on this post it also seems like the application now asks for the mobile number in the form 44xxx (no zero), but I cannot confirm this. Nevertheless, this is the format that I had used and others who have been successful in receiving the OTP have used. If you are still having problems, it seems you will have to call the call centre, who will bypass the OTP step for you.
