Are any emulators good yet?

Last time I tried to play though RE1 on an emulator (my fave version, fight me :) I had to either use a stable emulator with no resolution doubling/tripling (funny considering my fave version is the most graphically inferior right?) OR an emulator where after 30 minutes or less, the sound would stop working and I would have to save and reload after restarting the emulator.

Are we past this stage yet?

Wish I bought a Saturn w/ODE back when I had spare cash. At least I have an OG controller with a raphnet adapter :)

edit: Loving the downvotes on the topic. Based on the variety of replies, it seems that Saturn emulation still sucks, I'll just purchase a used SS or mister device. Oh well, being a SS fan was never easy, why should it be easy near 30 years later?
