Is it rude to ask for a wedge?
At the restaurant I worked at, we had a box of wooden wedges we used to stabilize wobbly tables. They’d often get kicked out or lost when we moved tables, so whenever a customer complained of a wobbly table or chair, we’d replace the wedge.
Is this a normal thing? Am I being rude if I ask for something to steady my table at another restaurant? I have done it a couple times and my fiancee says it’s rude. Starting to think they’re right 😰
