Where did Mark drive?

So at the end of S02E03 Mark seems to drive to an out of the way place to test burning an image into his retinas so that his innie will see it when he steps off the elevator. He's then confronted by Rhegabi who offers to reintegrate him (as an aside I lol'd at her "I'm better at it now!" line).

So did he plan to meet Reghabi there? If so, why not ask her about the burning in thing before going through the trouble of making the light for it? And if not, what are the chances that she randomly showed up at the out of the way location he chose to try that at? Then they wind up going back to his house anyway to do the reintegration.
