I’m worried about u/E1331

This message comes from a friend of mine. He is posting through me because he doesn't use Reddit much. He only uses it to stalk this subreddit and keep up with everything. Everything from here on our is from him.

I am worried about u/E1331. I've been following everything going on since the first trailer for the game, as I was a long time hollow knight fan. Let me just say, I love the ship posting in this subreddit and the absolute insanity that has come from all the conspiracy theories over the years. I've even had a few of my own that have proven to be untrue. However, recently, with the prevalence of u/E1331, I've been especially interested.

Ever since Leth mentioned him in that discord QnA, I've been incredibly invested, compounding even more so since the beginning of the countdown. I'll be honest, I genuinely believed that he might be a member of team Cherry and that something big was coming. However, my mentality has changed upon the most recent banner.

This banner has a very different feeling than everything before. First off, the message directly within the banner. "How many coincidences is this? I've lost count." At first, I read this as ironic. Something along the lines of "With this many coincidences, how long until it stops being a coincidence?" This could very much still be the case, and I could be reading into it way too much. I am a Skonger after all. However, combined with the comment that he added, it starts to worry me.

If you haven't read the comment, I'll summarize. The full comment will be linked at the end of the post. The basic summary is the story of three characters (most definitely representing u/E1331, Team Cherry, and ourselves, the subreddit/community). These 3 characters sit together and begin to exchange jokes. Nobody (u/E1331) was seeking companionship, and so he starts. He tells a joke, _______ (r/silksong) laughs, and somebody (TC) stays silent. This continues for a long time until they finally ask somebody for a joke. Somebody makes a joke about cake to which _______ only gets irate and upset, Not understanding why they would tell such a bad joke after such a long silence. Nobody can't help but laugh though, that's a simple fact that after all this time, that's all they got.

This story seems to imply that he is not connected to TC at all. He simply wanted to find friendship or community, and happened to join in the right place at the right time. He said all the right things. He made all the lucky guesses and everyone believed him or at the very least paid attention. After all, he's gotten at least a few things right, he has to be important. After all, how many coincidences is this? I've lost count. I could be wrong, but in my mind, everything seems to imply that u/E1331 simply got very very lucky as a shitposter.

I can't put my finger on it, but something about all this feels... Solemn. Like there may not be a happy ending to this countdown. It's giving me the idea that he may be counting down to something like him leaving the community or even deleting his account, and I hope I'm wrong. I probably am. Who knows at this point. Maybe I'm reading into everything completely wrong, he really is a member of team Cherry, and we are about to get news. Maybe it's counting down to nothing and this is the greatest silk post of all time. Guess we just have to wait and see.

Remember everyone, bait used to be believable and silksong was never real. Jarvis, I'm low on karma. Make an unnecessarily long text post reading way too much into a shitposter's ARG.
