is there anyway to get my old save back?

so ive been playing the remastered version on PC and it crashed, i tried using an old save but i didnt know that would override my main game and now i only have the old save left. I looked at my steam cloud and i downloaded the save file i had for my main game but its called .backup1 and it not .save

Is there anyway i can get my main game back or am i screwed?
