Is the St. Pete/Clearwater airport reliable?

Looking at potentially flying out of there since they have good prices and I like smaller airports if possible. I have heard before that allegiant has a lot of delays and cancellations and a lot of small airports can have those issues. What has been you guys' experience with that airport?
