Am I going to be charged for damaged equipment?

Long story short: I was camping in a campground and a vehicle drove into my campsite and ran over my Starlink Dish and took off.

I read a bunch of posts on here about Starlink Customer Service being super friendly and replacing stuff for customers in situations like this, so I figured I’d reach out and ask. I sent a message to Starlink and explained my situation and they wrote back a couple hours later saying it’s not a warranty issue and I’d have to buy a new kit. I wasn’t upset… It’s not their fault, why should they pay for something like this? But it was worth a shot…

I filed an insurance claim on my RV’s insurance policy (I have personal property protection that covers stuff like this with a $50 deductible). I had pictures of the car that ran it over, they’re considering it a “hit and run” so it’s no fault against my policy. The insurance company did ask me to get a cost of replacing only the dish, so I reached back out to Starlink… seconds later I received a message (it seemed automated) that they’re sending me a new kit, free of charge, and giving me a one month service credit. WHAT? Why? It’s not Starlink’s fault… That’s super cool!

But, it says I have to send all my old equipment back… My dish is literally in pieces and broken apart.

Are they going to get my damaged equipment back and go “that’s not our fault” and charge me? If they do, I don’t think it’ll be a big deal and insurance will eat the bill.. but I’m hoping someone here has experience with this and it’ll give me a heads up if I’m going to be charged?
