Auto switch display modes when launching or closing big picture

Hi folks,

I'm trying to change the display mode of my PC when I launch or close Steam in Big Picture mode:

When launched, I want it to enter clone mode: %windir%\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /clone

When closed, I want it to enter Internal mode, aka PC only: %windir%\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /internal.

Reason: I am playing on my couch with the TV connected to the PC via HDMI. I have non-Steam games in my library, and they load on my PC monitor. If I could change the display to these settings, it would be a really seamless experience, and I wouldn't have to get up and go to the computer room to sort it out.

Currently, my computer can't detect if the 2012 TV is on and connected to it via HDMI (the pc always registers it as connected). I feel like if it knew the PC HDMI input was selected on the TV, the PC could register that and auto-switch to the clone setting... Is that a thing? Because that would work as well.
