I don’t get the criticism…

I feel like everywhere I look (X, Facebook, Reddit) I see so many people just going “Not real golf.” “Lame excuse” “Simulator golf - boring! Match wasn’t even close!” etc…

I’d venture to guess these are mainly just old heads who probably aren’t sure what they’re looking at, but still. I don’t feel like the TGL has really tried to market this thing as “real golf.” It’s supposed to be fun and lighthearted and not in any way take away from the game or the tour.

These mouth-breathers are the same ones who complain about broadcasts being too long and not getting to know the players enough. Now they’re mic’d up a few Tuesday nights in the winter for a fun time and people say it’s the end of the sport.

Are people really that out of touch with what this is supposed to be?

And about the match being not an even match, uh, yeah? Sometimes that happens? I’m confused how that’s TGL’s fault that Rickie and Xander couldn’t putt tonight?

Anyway, unnecessary rant but I thought TGL rocked. Production was really entertaining and I think this could be a great product. I love hearing them mic’d up and I think it will get better and better as the season goes on.
