Highbeam auto turn on and off question

About a year ago my truck 23 SR, was able to do the thing where if I click my head lights on and a vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction it would shut them off and turn them back on a few seconds after the vehicle has passed. It randomly stopped doing that close to I believe a year ago and I've never been able to figure out how to get it back on. Anyone ever ran into this issue or know a remedy to fix it? I miss that little feature. I live on back roads and use high beams almost daily on my way home from work. Manually turning them on and of is fine but I do miss the cool little feature.
