Started as teacher in arts college. I realized my students are deeply mediocre

I feel unmotivated enough to stop trying. I really want to teach, and I want to learn from teaching. I want to feel creatively and intellectually stimulated by my students, but I'm shocked at how incredibly mediocre and lazy they are. They're not even attending most classes, they don't deliver assignments, they simply don't give a fuck. They struggle way TOO MUCH with critical thinking and reasoning. They don't like reading, nor watching movies besides tiktok videos. Their writing skills are shit and they don't even try to improve.

I'm very frustrated. I thought it wouldn't be that hard, considering I'm a young female. I'm at least 5 years older than them, so... We're not from different worlds at all.

I have a nice student. But only one. She's responsible and always on time. But I have about 14 other students...
