Do girls get annoyed when a guy keeps making plans that never work out?

So, here’s the thing, I have a small crush on a girl in my class, but since I’ve been interning, I haven’t seen or met her in over a month. I attended college on Saturdays, but that’s the one day she doesn’t come. We aren’t that close, but we did go to an event together a few months ago, and she even sent me an Instagram request—probably just to tag me in her story. I know it was likely just a casual gesture, but since I rarely get follow requests, it stuck with me, lol.

The issue is, I never really got the chance to build a good rapport with her, even when I used to attend college regularly. She usually sticks with her small gurl gang, and I stay with my friends, so I never made much effort to go over her desk and talk to her. But we do used to wave at each other whenever we met or go home sometimes together by train. I’ve tried asking her to hang out a few times (usually suggesting she could bring her friends along too), but it never worked out since she has classes on public holidays and weekends.

At this point, I’m not even sure what would be a good way to break the ice. We don’t chat much beyond basic college-related stuff. Would it be weird if I started sending her Instagram reels? I don’t scroll reels much, but I do come across interesting content sometimes.

Also, by now, I’m pretty sure she has some idea that I have a crush on her. Back when I attended regularly, my friend wouldn’t stop teasing me about her (he still does) and wouldn't stop in front of her😭. She must have definitely heard it. So, does it seem weird that I’ve asked her to hang out multiple times without it working out?
