As a Chinese, I'm really mad at people saying Xinjiang all the time.
It's not like this thing is like the Tiananmen Square, tankie man that people keep talking about. After all, those things are at least partially true, and the reporters just spiced up some of the angles they wanted, and I don't blame people when they believe those things. And the thing about Xinjiang is totally different, it's like some random person in the White House, “we need to get certain issues to attack China, this is a nice piece my salad dressing just landed on, let's do some articles on this”, and then the world believes it, even though there isn't any solid evidence, but guess what, people just Believe it!
And then everybody's talking about China “Hey, what's going on in Xinjiang”, “Hey, what's going on in Xinjiang”. The government invites UN human rights experts to visit Xinjiang, and travelers are also welcome to see Xinjiang for themselves. But it's no use, and even if no evidence is found, people will just say that the evil CCP hid the evidence. Yes, genocide in a region with a population of more than 25 million and you can't find any evidence except for the interviews with actors paid by the BBC, Israel should learn from that, shouldn't it?
And to this day I've almost given up on clarifying with others, people only believe what they want to believe. And because of this I feel that if one day the US needs to attack us, the US government will throw all the bad things in history on our heads, and then the world will believe it as it always has, without any evidence, and then the Americans will spit on my corpse on my land, “Damn Nazis, this is the punishment for what you did in Gaza! ”
