Kerry becomes Kurtan in The Witchfinder
What did you dirty peepers think of The Witchfinder? I loved the show and I'm still gutted it isn't being renewed; it had such an amazing cast, Reece Shearsmith as the Witchfinder General is the role he was born to play 😂
I thought Daisy channelled a 16th century version of Kurtan in this show; I'm surprised it wasn't more popular because I thought it was This Country adjacent in some ways, like a straight trajectory between life in the same villages then & now (not much has changed in British villages, Parsnip Pubes would definitely have been reporting people as witches, & I can see Martin at the inn bragging about how many loyalist's heads he bashed in over a flagon of ale 😅). Her & Tim Key had a brilliant dynamic which made for very natural comedy.
Ofc this is my opinion, but I'm curious to know what fans of TC & the Coopers thought about it - plenty of people seemed to love it, but the BBC would have you believe it only had 3 viewers 🙄 (although if you hated it I can safely say you lot are winding me up today!)
