Weight Bearing issue(s)

I’m 10 weeks PO and can walk without a crutch or cane but still have a limp to protect against sharp hip pain from bearing weight on the THR leg.

This is the one remaining issue as all the surgical site stuff, flexibility, strength are fine.

Unfortunately I was told numerous times by my surgeon and team I should be well enough to play tennis by 3 months. But there is just no way barring some sort of miracle in the next 2 weeks

I’d rather be my pre op self because even if it hurt like hell to wake up with an arthritic hip I could get it loosened up enough to be pain free enough to work out go for a run with the dog etc…

Now if I walk a mile rather than loosening up and feeling better the pain is worse and worst until I have to stop; and the next day the pain is worse.

So it seems I’m doing damage to the hip by using it. I can’t step down off the curb onto the THR leg without sharp pain. So the 3-4x body weight required to simply jog is out of the question.

Anyone else have this weight bearing issue and if so did it ever fix itself?

If not, did you need additional surgery or are you just living with the fact you are permanently crippled by the surgery?
