Advice on flights after SRS
Hi there! I’m flying from Bangkok to the USA in April after SRS. After doing research here I’ll be sure to get a business class ticket to ensure maximum comfort/ being able to not put pressure on the wound.
I have two flight options that I’d love your feedback on.
One flight is Starlux business; - Pros: which gives me a private suite (like it has the partial door so people can’t see into my seat area. This is nice if I need to tend to my wounds at all or change and not feel cramped in the bathroom.
- Cons: it has two layovers. Bangkok to Taipei with a five hour layover, then Taipei to Seattle, Washington for a two hour layover before flying to my final destination.
The other flight is Air Canada business:
Pros: only one layover so flight is Bangkok to Vancouver, BC (like a 15 hour nonstop flight). With a 5 hour layover in Vancouver and their lounge has showers so I could freshen up.
- Cons: The business seats are far less private. Essentially everyone can see everyone else’s seats which feels less than ideal.
Would you prioritize less layovers in favor of a less private seat? Or would you prioritize privacy with more layovers? I’m leaning towards less layovers because I won’t be as exhausted but am curious others thoughts.
Thanks!
