Hiring a 2nd designer at startup - Need some hiring advice!

Hey fellow designers!

I'm about to hire a second designer at the startup I'm at. Coming from both startup and Big Tech backgrounds, I've seen firsthand how wildly different the expectations for a designer can be.

For those of you who've hired designers at startups – I'm looking for your wisdom!

• What really helped you find the perfect fit?
• What were some of the biggest red flags I should look out for?

This is my first time leading the entire hiring process, so I'm eager to learn from your experiences and make it as smooth as possible. 🙏

As for the process, there won't be a take home tasks and would be done in 3-4 rounds over 2 weeks. 😄
