eMMC Clone to SSD – UGREEN one problem

I recently ran into a problem with my UGREEN 2800 and I’m hoping someone here has a solution or advice.

What I Did:

  1. My NAS originally ran from eMMC storage, but I wanted to move the system to a Samsung SSD 980 500GB NVMe for better performance.
  2. I cloned the eMMC (including all partitions) onto the SSD using Clonezilla (disk-to-disk cloning).
  3. After cloning, I disabled eMMC to prevent interference with boot and confirmed the NAS is now running from the SSD.
  4. I created a new EXT4 partition (~400GB) on the SSD to use as additional storage.

The Problem: • Even though the SSD is fully recognized in Linux (lsblk, fdisk, df -h), UGREEN Storage Manager does not detect it. • The SSD has several partitions, including nvme0n1p8 (EXT4, 469GB), which is mounted as /mnt/storage. • I even created a new partition using parted, formatted it as EXT4, and mounted it manually, but Storage Manager still does not detect the SSD as usable storage.

My Question:

Is it possible to use the 400GB free space on the SSD as a storage unit inside the NAS? If so, what steps are needed to make UGREEN Storage Manager recognize it?
