rank reset has turned me into a bot

Can someone explain whats in the air this act? Ever since the new episode i have been getting destroyed every game. I was diamond 1/2 last act and could perform pretty well in every game. Got demoted to gold 1 after placements and have been genuinely struggling to stay there, i know that everyone got demoted a lot but i feel like im going crazy getting owned by players who were high gold/ low plat last season. I guess just a skill diff? Lol.
