Ariana Marix in early seasons

I'm watching for the first time, I have liked Ariana Madix in other things I've seen her in (LIUSA & DWTS) so I started VPR because of her - but I just finished season 4 and she is kind of insufferable? Everything that has happened she is justified in feeling upset but I feel like her and Tom are just negative people who see themselves above everyone? Does she change? Why is she a fan favourite?
