Increasing claim for Ménière’s disease.

Hello everyone, I am currently rated at 10% for vertigo, but it’s also says menieres disease. Long story long, I ruptured my ear drum during water survival training in 2010, ended up being given ear drops for a month that are ototoxic to the inner ear before they knew I had a ruptured ear drum. I ended up getting a MRSA infection, and after the military finally sent me to an ENT, he immediately pulled me off the drops because he knew they are known to damage the inner ear. I had a tympanomastoidectomy surgery a couple months later to clean the MRSA out and fix my ear drum. Ever since I’ve had the typical menieres symptoms, but over the last 5 years, I’ve had episodes at least once a week, usually every 3-5 days that last for 2-4 hours. I want to file a claim, but I am unsure if I am already service connected for menieres or just the peripheral vertigo? The VA gave me a hearing aid for my hearing loss 13 years ago. Also, I haven’t been to a doctor for menieres or have a civilian doctor diagnose me with it, I only have the paperwork from my service time that states everything that has happened to me. Can anyone point me in the right direction to go for a claim? Should I get a civilian doctor to diagnose me first to support my claim? Or do I just file a claim and go to the C&P appointment and state what I just did about my symptoms getting worse? Thanks for any and all help.
