what to buy??

my boyfriend is a huge fan if warhammer. he told me once that hes always wanted to paint the little figures but i dont know anything about it. all i know his favorite army in 40k is orcs and his favorite in total war is nurgles. idk what that means. his favorite lords are skaven and ogres.

so what do i get? 😀 i have enough money to get whatever thats not crazy expensive and it would be a great birthday gift and activity to do together.

are there also special paints for them? i feel like there is.

do i buy on amazon?
