Sheriff Robert Norris violated an American citizen’s Constitutional rights, and they will try to tell you otherwise
For those who have not seen the video going viral, yes, the Idaho Town Hall last night was a clear example of authoritarian intimidation.
Sheriff Robert Norris claimed to be acting in an unofficial capacity; nevertheless, he ordered two yet unidentified men in black sweatshirts to quite literally drag this woman from her seat and carry her out of the auditorium.
The sign of a healthy government is when the powerful are held accountable, and what we saw last night is the exact opposite. Be aware of what this means. It was definitionally an attack on Constitutional rights.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
“Criticism of the government, political dissatisfaction, and advocacy of unpopular ideas that people may find distasteful or against public policy are nearly always protected by the First Amendment.”
