Hello everyone,

A group of 3 of us are visiting in Feb. A couple of questions (maybe a lot of questions ) for those who have visited or live there. We’re not opposed to long drives and adventures

• we have a car rental (suv) through driving force. Do we need to ask for winter tyres, studs, chains or will they already be on the cars ? We’ve driven in Iceland and Norway in the winter and they already had them on the rentals

• is there a place in town to rent cold weather clothing ? Snowshoes? Etc

• are restaurants open at this time of year ? Or should we buy groceries ?

• is the drive to Skagway worth it in the winter ? (Day trip)

• Are there places to rent snowshoes etc in Kluane (day trip)

• We booked into the hot springs and will probably book a second trip. Does it usually sell out and do we need to book in advance ?

The main purpose of the trip is to try and see the lights. We know it will be a full moon and understand the chances of clouds, low activity and so on so we want to do other things too.

• I would like to do dog sledding. Which company do you recommend for good views ?

• we would like to try ice fishing, any recommendations?
