Pet Hatching Help

Hello, I've put off making an actual pet for years and would like to finally do so, I really want to get stats like that are on the Pyrus pet onto mine, but was unsure how to do so as I know it can be a process. Can I just breed these two until i get the talent pool or do I have to set up a pet just for breeding like I have seen in videos that hurt my head? I'd even take the stats on a different pet if it's easier. Any help is greatly appreciated. Am a noob to this so sorry
