Alaskans, Get Ready to Pay—Trump’s Tariffs Just Made Life More Expensive

Trump just slapped 25% tariffs on Canada & Mexico and 10% on China to “fix” immigration and drug trafficking. What he really did? Aside from directly violating the Untied States, Mexico and Canada Trade agreement…he made everything in Alaska more expensive.

Guess who one of Alaska’s import and export partners are? You guessed it.

Canada: $753 million (imports) and $596 million (exports).

What This Means for Alaskans:

Fuel: Expect heating and gas prices to skyrocket. Canada supplies.

Groceries: Canada ships in agriculture—food costs will climb. Who has eggs on their face?

Housing: Canada’s provides wood. Housing just went up.

The Fallout:

Canada ($155B) & Mexico are respectfully hitting back with retaliatory tariffs, making U.S. goods MORE expensive. The EU is expected to respond accordingly.

Canadians are assimilating and calling for country wide boycotts of U.S. products, goods and services.
